Adelina Bettencourt

Adelina Carreiro Bettencourt "Tia Cunha", 93, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017, at her daughter's home in Jerome, Idaho.
Adelina was born on September 14, 1923, to Manuel and Maria Paulina Carreiro in Santo Amaro, Sao Jorge, Azores. In her lifetime, Adelina worked in a Nursery in Half Moon Bay, California and a chicken processing plant. She enjoyed babysitting and her most favorite hobby was crocheting.
Adelina is survived by her children, Alice (Joe) Faial of Jerome, Amarantina Bettencourt of Buhl, Nelia (Jose) Perez of Washington, Joe (Avelina) Bettencourt of Buhl, Fatima Silva of Buhl and Maria (Tony) of Buhl; grandchildren, Fernanda Stobart of Jerome, Alice (Art) Nunes of Oakley, Paula (Colby) Cunningham of Twin Falls, Florentino (Brittany) Chavez, Emanuel Chavez, Lisa Chavez and Linda Chavez of Washington, Elizabeth (Chris) Caldwell of Twin Falls, Veronica (Bryce) Harvey of Twin Falls, Robert (Janna) Bettencourt of Buhl, Jorge Silva and James Silva of Fontana, California, William Coe of Pomona, California and Monique Wiggan of Buhl; great grandchildren, Branden, Chyenne and Dyllen Stobart, Ashley, Victoria and Joel Nunes, Nicolas, Shawnda, Jessika, Jayson and Melenie Cunningham, Broc, Easton, Addylynn and (coming soon) Jaxson Caldwell, Paul Bettencourt, Donovon, Sarahi and Valeria, Itzel, Sydney and Xander Harvey, Logan Silva, Ariel Aguilar with baby Aguilar coming in August and baby Chavez coming in July.
Adelina is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Jose S. Bettencourt and her daughter Idalina Borges.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Buhl.
Arrangements will be under the care and direction of Farmer Funeral Chapel of Buhl, Idaho.
