Barbara L. Dennis - Clark, 85, of Buhl, Idaho, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014, at River Rock Assisted Living with family by her side.
Barbara was born March 16, 1928 in Tarkio, Missouri. She was the youngest of seven children born to John and Jessie (Morefield) Dennis.
At an early age the family moved to Castleford, Idaho. Barbara attended school in Castleford and graduated from the eighth grade. She met and married her forever sweetheart, Don Clark on her birthday, March 16, 1943. They were married sixty-one years. Don and Barbara honeymooned at Three Creek desert and Diamond A for two years, living in a sheep camp and herding sheep for Jack Campbell. Barbara lived in various places within the Magic Valley, following their love of cow poking and farming while raising their family.
Barbara worked at Westby Market, Buhl Pharmacy and Safeway Grocery store. Later she worked as a cook at the Buhl Elementary School.
Her greatest love and ambition in her life was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She could be seen sitting on the sidelines at their games and activities rooting them on. Her favorite thing to do was cooking meals for them.
Barbara is survived by her children, Donna (Jim) Lynch, Joyce (Gary) Bybee, daughter-in-law, Karen Clark, Norma (Gary) Huggins all of Buhl and David (Sue) Clark of Springfield, Ore; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren and Henry Salgado a favorite brother-in-law of Templeton, Ca..
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Clark; two sons, Edward and Jim; daughter, Barbara Ann and siblings, Earl, Dorothy, Johnie, Verba, James and Betty.
Barbara's family would like to thank Tracy, Dee, Adele and all the staff from River Rock and Woodland Assisted living facilities for the love and care they gave to our mother.
