Barbara Jean Thomas - Buhl

Barbara Jean Thomas, 70, of Buhl, suddenly passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at her home.

Barbara was born Jan. 21, 1945 to James and Alice Rhoades. They moved from Nebraska City, Nebraska to Kimberly, Id. in 1950. In 1969, she married the love of her life, Luther Thomas. They had two daughters, Melinda Griffin and Michelle Thomas and have one granddaughter Niccoyiah Morrison.

Barbara worked for the R&R Restaurant and Clear Springs Fish Hatchery. She and Luther had a janitorial service for many years, where they cleaned the movie theaters. She drove school bus and worked at Lamb Weston until her retirement.

Her favorite things to do were playing bingo, shopping and spoiling her girls and all the other kids that came into her life. She touched many people's lives with her kindness and went out of her way to make everyone feel special.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Connie Ruggles and brother, James Rhoades.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday February 28 at the Buhl First Assembly of God Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl.
