Camille Rudene Zach, a long standing and loved resident of Castleford, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, October 19, 2021 at Serenity Transitional Care of Twin Falls following an extended illness from a fall she took in mid-July. Camille was born September 17, 1934 and lived on the family farm in Castleford her entire life. She graduated in 1953 from Castleford High School and attended Twin Falls Business College.
She worked many years at the Green Giant plant in Buhl. Camille loved to bowl and was on a league for over 30 years. She also was a member of the Lucerne Ladies Social Club and prior to that, The Home Culture Club. She was an active member of the Castleford United Methodist Church from her childhood, spanning about 80 years. She was very pleased when they honored her dedicated service several times. She loved singing, in fact singing was Camille’s passion, and for many years she was a member of the Annual Christmas Contata.
She is survived by her sister, Jeroma Zahour, of Brookfield, Illinois; her nephew, Paul (Teri) Zahour of Naples, Florida; nieces, Andrea (Kymn) Peckham of Buhl; and Kristen (John Mavencamp) Kline of Castleford; and many great nieces and nephews.
She treasured her family and friends and frequently called them to let them know of her love and concern. Donations may be made in Camille’s name to the Castleford United Methodist Church at P.O. Box 667 Castleford, Idaho 83321.
