Christine was born in Santa Rosa, California, to Kevin and Renee Moore. She graduated from Santa Rosa Christian School and went into the Air Force as a linguist studying the Korean language. She spent 3 years in South Korea and finished her service in Maryland. She spoke English, Korean, Spanish, Italian and some sign language.
Christine married Michael Bergseng September 8, 2019, and they resided in the mountains in the outskirts of Boise. She started working at New Horizon Academy in Boise and made many close friends there. In December of 2022 she was diagnosed with cancer and started treatment and surgeries to combat it. In October of 2024, they moved to Buhl and she started as admin at Pinecrest Academy of Idaho. Again, she made many close friends including the students she tutored.
From the 7th grade math class, “She fed us when we were hungry and hugged us when we were sad. She pushed us to do our best and always be kind to others.” From teachers and the principle, “She always had a smile on her face. Her kindness was contagious. She made such an impact on so many people in such a short amount of time.” She battled cancer for 2 years with multiple treatments, surgeries and side effects, yet through it all kept positive and kept smiling. When admitted to the hospital, the Doctors said it was a miracle that she was alive and talking as her lungs were so full of cancer. She said she was asking God for a miracle but looking at reality. She was a fighter, loved fiercely and an avid reader always looking to the next book. She will be greatly missed by many.
Christine is survived by her husband, Michael Bergseng and their children, Alanna, Felicitee, Lillian, and Collin; Kevin and Lisa Moore her father and stepmother; Renee Amore and Bob Crossley, her mother and stepfather; Benjamin Moore her brother; and Le-An Roberts her stepsister.
There will be a Military service at the Snake River National Cemetery for the immediate family and a Celebration of Life at a future date. In lieu of flowers she asked that a donation be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. You can donate online at stjude.org. For additional information you can contact Renee at amore_management@yahoo.com.
Through it all her favorite verse is Phillipians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.
Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Christine’s memorial webpage at www.farmerfuneralchapel.com.
