Donnie “Don” Earl Henry passed away January 2, 2024. He was born August 25, 1947, to Joseph Glen Henry and Ida Mae Walker Henry. Don proudly served in the United States Air Force.

From West Plains, Missouri to Filer, Idaho, and many stops in between, Don worked as a welder, mechanic, saw filer, floor mechanic, truck driver, auctioneer, and real estate salesman. He raised cattle and horses, was in many parades, and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Boy Scouts, and the Elks Lodge. He loved hunting bear and deer.

Don had two children, Bruce and Gene, with his first wife. He then married Dorothy Kay Smith and welcomed her son, Doug, from her first marriage to their family. Don and Dorothy then had two children, Joseph and David. In 2007 their family grew again when they started raising their grandchildren, Ira, Lewis, Kayla, and Taylor, after their father Joseph passed away.

Don and Dorothy have many grandchildren and great grandchildren, with one on the way.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; and his son, Joseph.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Snake River Canyon National Cemetery, 1585 E Elm St, Buhl.
