Dustin Scott Hunt, 35, of Buhl, passed away on May 31, 2016.
Dusty was born on September 6, 1980 to Gene and Linda Hunt. He was raised on a farm in Melon Valley where he learned to love the outdoors, especially camping, riding motorcycles, snowmachines, bulls in the rodeo and any other high adventure sports.
Dusty was an Eagle Scout, who participated in wrestling and football. He graduated from Castleford High School in 1999 and then joined the U.S. Marine Corps.
Dusty married Cheyenne Garza on May 1, 2012 and they resided in Buhl. He enjoyed welding and construction. He had worked for Jerome Cheese and was working for Jaynes Custom Chopping at the time of his death.
He loved spending time with his family and friends, loved his dogs and had a "heart of gold", always willing to help others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him!
Dusty is survived by his wife, Cheyenne Hunt; parents, Gene and Linda Hunt; sister, Debi Brown, all of Buhl; brothers, Dan (Beth) Hunt of Twin Falls, David (Marie) Hunt of Montpelier, Darin (Ivy) Hunt of Caldwell and Doug (Karissa) Hunt of Parker, Colorado.
Dusty was preceded in death by his grandparents, N.R. and Wilma Hunt; grandfather, Norman Roberts and step-grandfather, Stan Siedel.
A funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday June 9, 2016 at the L.D.S. Church on Main Street in Buhl. A family greeting time will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m, prior to the service. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Buhl West End Cemetery. Arrangements will be under the direction of Farmer Funeral Chapel of Buhl, Idaho.
