Earl Read

Earl Wallace Read passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Earl was born June 11, 1937 to Helen Caler Read and Claude Read and is one of five children.

He joined the Air Force where he served during the Korean War, 6486th Operations Squadron. He loved to spend time camping, fishing, hunting, and attending the First Baptist Church in Filer, Idaho.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Shirley C. Read; children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his sister, Evelyn Heidemann.

Family and friends are welcome to remember Earl at 12:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2022, at Farmer Funeral Chapel, 130 9th Avenue North, Buhl. A graveside service with military honors will conclude at Snake River Canyon National Cemetery, 1585 East 4150 North, Buhl.
