Eileen Slack Pearson, 94, of Buhl, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Hospital in Twin Falls, with her family by her side.
Eileen was born September 15, 1920 in Brady, Nebraska, one of ten children of Cora Lewis Slack and William Slack. She grew up on the family farm, helping in the fields and with the younger children.
She married Frank W. Pearson on May 15, 1943 in Buhl, Idaho. Eileen and her husband farmed and dairied in the Castleford, Murtaugh, and Buhl areas. She not only raised four sons, but also helped her husband in the fields and with the family dairy.
She always had a garden and canned all kinds of fruit and vegetables. She was an excellent cook and made sure her children were neatly dressed in public and well behaved.
Eileen was an active member of the Lucerne Social Club and looked forward to their monthly meetings. She was also a member to the First Baptist Church in Buhl and attended services regularly.
Eileen will be greatly missed by her loving family and her many friends. She was indeed a special lady that always had a kind word to say and a warm and friendly smile on her face.
Eileen is survived by her children, Bob, Jim (Doris), Terry (Shirley) all of Buhl and Frank of Jerome; daughter-in-law, Ronda of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sister, Marilyn Phillips of Paul and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; stepson, Delbert; her parents and eight siblings.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 31, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Buhl, Idaho located at 400 9th Ave. N. A visitation will be held between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Buhl First Baptist Church or the Buhl Quick Response Unit.
