Elva Baird

Elva Carol Baird, 77, died July 14, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Twin Falls, Idaho.

Carol was born to Clara Audrie Carpenter and Wayne Staggs at Ross General in Ross, California but she grew up in Fair Fax, California.

She moved to Gooding, Idaho in 1960 and married Richard Earl Baird on December 1, 1964 in Lovelock, Nevada. The two of them moved to Carry, Idaho where they worked on a sheep ranch and worked for the Country Road Dept. Carol and Earl moved to Buhl, Idaho on August 8, 1988.

Carol loved meeting new people, no one was a stranger to her. She enjoyed many hobbies, but she loved to crochet hats and give them to those who were in need. She loved to go shopping, her animals and loved to give out presents.

Carol is survived by her two daughters, Joann Huber, and Loma Strunk; six grandchildren, Tina Huber, Tonia Sherman, Tami Southwick, Terrance Strunk, Candice Strunk, and Akoya Strunk; three sisters, Dainne Norsowthy, Rhonda Gillispie, and Terrie Demartini; brother, Gene Staggs; and three stepchildren, Pat Kase, Connie Ray, and Kenny Baind.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
