Emma Mikesh Clark, 96, of Castleford went to Jesus peacefully on April 22, 2014 at Evergreen Assisted Living Place in Buhl, Idaho.
Mom was born on March 12th 1918 in Breckenridge, Minnesota, the youngest daughter of Frank and Ana Mikesh. The family then moved to Idaho in 1920 where Emma enjoyed farm life. She attended Superior Country School and finished her education graduating from Buhl High school in 1935. She eloped with the love of her life, G.D. Clark, along with another couple to Elko, Nevada where they were married on May 9th in 1936 at the Elko County Courthouse.
The young couple were blessed with a son, Garland, and four years later a daughter, Barbara. They lived on various farms in the Buhl area before finally settling on their farm south of Castleford where they raised two more children, Ted and Diane, crops and cattle.
Mom and Dad spent 51 years together before G.D. lost his battle with cancer. Mom continued on the farm doing everything she loved, caring for the cattle, being a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a living dictionary of wisdom.
Mom is survived by her four children; Garland (Shannon) Clark, Barbara (Gary) Blick, Diane (Rick) Mitton, Ted (Diane) Clark; Eight grandchildren; Darren (Meg) Clark, Scott (Katie) Blick, Rob (Sharlee) Blick, Chad (Jana) Blick, Bryan (Curissa) Mitton, Carrie (Jake) March, Russel (Jessica) Clark, Nicholas (Becky) Clark; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, G.D.; sister, Irene and brother in law, Ben Koci.
A memorial service is to be held on Monday April 28th at 11:00 am at the Castleford United Methodist Church. If it is your wish to do so, memorial donations may be given to the Castleford United Methodist Church.
