Evelyn Allred was born September 30, 1931 to Raymond and Wilda Carlson in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was raised and attended school in Buhl, Idaho.
Evelyn married John Allred in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together they raised five children on their farm in Castleford, Idaho. Evelyn enjoyed sewing. She worked at Roper’s in Buhl doing alterations and sales. Evelyn also had her own business called “Kwik Kwilts” doing machine quilting. Evelyn loved to cook and read, but her biggest joy was making quilts for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings in the Stake and Ward. She played the organ for the Ward for over 50 years.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Ken (Joycelyn) Allred, Kay Harr, Sandra (Jim) Clawson, and Mikki (Clara) Allred; brother, Lamar Carlson; and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, John; brother, Dwayne Carlson; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Rick Banister; son-in-law, Ron Harr; and grandson, J.D. Clawson.
Evelyn loved the Lord and her family. Evelyn you will be missed by everyone that knew you.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 20, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 501 Main Street, Buhl, with a viewing beginning at 10:00 am. Grave dedication will conclude at West End Cemetery, 1574 East 1450 North, Buhl.
