Geneva Carolyn McCoy Jardine

TWIN FALLS

Geneva McCoy Jardine died Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Serenity Transitional Care in Twin Falls. She was born June 19, 1940, in Twin Falls to Joseph Elmer Baxter and Maude Mae Wasson Baxter of Buhl.

A 1958 graduate of Buhl High School, she received her business administration degree at Northwest Nazarene College, Nampa, and taught business classes there for six years. During three summer sessions at Oregon State University, Corvallis, she received her master’s degree. She then moved to Wenatchee, Washington, where she taught business classes at Wenatchee Valley Junior College for 30 years.

In 2021, Geneva moved to Twin Falls and enjoyed playing cards, doing jigsaw puzzles, reading, and was active at the Twin Falls Senior Center. She has been a Mary Kay Cosmetics Consultant since 1989 and was always very well put together in dress, hair, nails and matching socks. She was also a member of Filer Chapter AH P.E.O., Delta Kappa Gamma International Society and had been in the Applarians in Wenatchee since 2006 until she moved to Idaho.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; seven half-brothers and half-sisters; and three husbands. 

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; great and great-great nieces and nephews; cousins; and many friends including Gerrit Peters  and Rose Beckett of Twin Falls.

The family also wishes to thank Hospice Visions for the care and support during her last month.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the Hollister Community Presbyterian Church, 2461 Central Avenue, Hollister. Inurnment will conclude at West End Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials to the church may be mailed or left at the church the day of the service. Rev. Jim Sommer will officiate at the service.
