Harvey Pilant

Harvey Lee Pilant, 80, of Twin Falls (formerly of Buhl), passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013, at the Bridge View Estates, in Twin Falls, Idaho, with his family by his side.

Harvey was born on October 28, 1932 in Foil, Missouri. Later, he moved to Wendell, Idaho, where he went to school. After school, Harvey enlisted for four years un the U.S. Navy, where he served in Korea, Japan, and Pearl Harbor. He was discharged from the Navy on March 16, 1955.

Harvey married Janette McRoberts on December 24, 1955 and they spent 57 years together. In their years together they had four children, nine grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. Harvey loved spending time with all his family, fishing, and playing all kinds of games with them. Harvey and Janette traveled and saw 3/4 of the U.S.A. together.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; one sister; and one great grandson, Tyler.

He is survived by his wife, Janette; four children, David Lee Pilant, Darvin Jay Pilant, Diane Kathleen Pilant, and Delvin Bradley Pilant; grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl, Idaho. Interment will follow the service at the Rock Creek Cemetery in Hansen, Idaho, with Military honors. Arrangements are under the direction of Farmer Funeral Chapel of Buhl.
