Irene Miranda Jensen, 95, of Buhl, went to be with the Lord November 19, 2015 at her residence at Evergreen Assisted Living in Buhl, Idaho.
Irene was born on October 20, 1920 in Kulm, North Dakota to Theodore and Katie Netz. She had 10 siblings - Violet Latham, Kermit Netz, Willard Netz, Vangie Nelson, Sylvia Schumbert, and brothers Daniel, Ted, Elroy, Iver and Lloyd Netz. She met and married Eskild Jensen. They lived north of Fargo, where they worked on a farm. They later moved to Averill, Minnesota and worked on a cattle ranch. Her husband preceded her in death.
Irene was the hardest working woman you'd ever met. She always worked on the farm and had a large garden. She loved to do crafts. She was so creative and made a plethora of homemade trinkets. She always had an array of decorations for each holiday. She played piano, another one of her loves, and she was self-taught. She loved to crochet. She enjoyed going to yard sales and finding dolls, to crochet hats and clothes for them. Her spare bedroom was full of dolls at one time.
Irene is survived by her 2 daughters, Janice Clark of Buhl, ID and Kathy Lomsdalen of Ulen, Minnesota; her sons, Eskie (Pat) Jensen of Coolidge, Arizona and Jeffery (Sue) Jensen of Hitterdal, Minnesota, 16 grandkids, over 18 great-grandkids, and over 11 great-great-grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son Gary Jensen, grandson Tim, her sister, Violet Latham and her bothers, Kermit, Willard, Elroy, Iver and Lloyd Netz.
A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 25, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Buhl. A viewing will be 5-7 p.m. Tues. Nov. 24, 2015 at Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl. A burial service will be held in Hawley, Minnesota at later date.
