Jake Owen Kaes

(Buhl/Castleford, Idaho) It is with great sadness of love that we mourn the passing of our beloved Jake Owen Kaes. He was a youthful young man of 16 years. His loving spirit passed onto our Heavenly Father on June 6, 2015 with his loving family at his side.

Jake was born February 10, 1999 to Rob Kaes Jr. and Stacie Darrow. He grew up in Buhl and Castleford Idaho, attending Buhl School K-8 and Castleford 9th grade. He would have been a sophomore at Castleford High School this Fall. Jake was well known for his huge heart, his handsome smile, and his effervescent personality, which since moving to Castleford contributed to him being known as "Pepper" from his friends.

Jake never knew his Paternal Great Grandmother, Mona Kaes or his father's beloved younger sister Molly Kaes, but we are sure he is with them now.

Jake is Survived by his parents, Rob Kaes (Luann Studer), Stacie (Brian) Darrow; his brother, Luke Kaes; his sisters, Kaytlyn Marcotte, Xantha & Claira Darrow, Ashley and Amaya Studer; Great-Grandparents, Ennice Weaver, Treva Hansen (Will) Brown, Alice Nelson; Grandparents, Robert (Cynthia) Kaes, Barbara (David) Bremers, Dan (Dora) Weaver, Curtis (Shari) Darrow and Rita Severa. Jake joked that he had enough Aunts, Uncles, and cousins to fill his own phone book! They all held VERY SPECIAL place in his heart.

A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2015 in the Castleford High School Gymnasium. There will not be a graveside service. Jake's funeral is under the direction Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl. (The funeral director, Steve Bonar, is a beloved family friend, Jake called him "Uncle Steve.")
