James Miller - Twin Falls
James Miller, 83, of Twin Falls, passed away on December 19, 2014 due to a ten year battle with C.O.P.D.
He was born to Bart and Ettie Miller along with a twin brother Art. They joined their older brother Bill and sisters, Mable and Sally. He grew up in the Castleford area. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy where he proudly served in the Korean War. James served our country from 1950 - 1954.
A few years after returning home, he met and married Anita Turner. He helped raise her son, Shawn. Together they had six children, Rod, Phil, Vince, Quen, Macie and Mailin.
During his working years, Jim mostly drove trucks for long haul and construction. He was a great driver and won many safety awards. He made many friends over the years and kept in touch with his fellow drivers.
Anita passed away in 1994. Jim later met and married Neva and they spent almost 20 years together. They enjoyed many fun trips until Jim got too sick to travel. He became great friends with Neva's children over the years.
He was preceded in death by his brother Bill Miller; sisters, Mable Bishop and Sally Gulick; sons, Shawn and Quen and grandson Cheyne.
Jim is survived by his twin brother; five children; wife, Neva and her children; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was loved and will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Hound Pound of Twin Falls or an animal charity of choice.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, December 22, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl. Burial and Military Honors will follow the services at Buhl's West End Cemetery.
