Janice Stiegemeier, 89, passed away April 12, 2025, at her home in Buhl.
Janice was born January 1, 1936, at their home in Castleford, Idaho, to Earl and Viva Brewer. She was the youngest of four children, and grew up in Castleford, graduating from high school there. Janice then went on to Business College in Twin Falls, graduating from their Secretarial Program. While attending business school she met her future husband, Neil. They were married September 3, 1955, and were blessed with four children, Mark, John, Dawna, and Cathy.
Alongside Neil they farmed in Kimberly for two years before moving to Buhl to farm where they lived and worked together until they retired. They sold the farm and bought a house in Filer, Idaho, and after Neil’s passing Janice moved back to Buhl.
Janice loved to travel, having many adventures on bowling trips with the girls. We are not sure how much bowling was done, but they had great trips. Neil and Janice went on numerous trips, traveling to all 50 states and Europe. They traveled to Arizona in the winters where they loved their time going to flee markets, playing games, and visiting with friends.
Janice enjoyed woodworking, participating in craft shows for many years. She spent many hours in her garden and yard, always having one of the nicest looking ones around. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, going to their events, going on family camping trips, and relaxing in the evenings with one of her dogs on her lap.
Janice is survived by four children, Mark Stiegemeier, John (Cindy) Stiegemeier, Dawna (Tom) Adamson, and Cathy (Richard) Carter; grandchildren, Branden, Mitch, Samantha, Dustin, T.J., Vince, and April; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil; sister; both brothers; and grandson, Shawn Carter.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1128 Poplar Street. Buhl. Burial will conclude at the West End Cemetery, 1574 East Elm Street, Buhl.
