Our mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Johanna “Jody” Ormsbee Warnock, 94, said “Vaya Con Dios” to this earthly existence in the twilight hours of August 5, 2022. I'm sure she was welcomed by the beautiful melodious harmony of her sisters and mother! Soon to follow that exuberant welcoming we can imagine her and our dad dancing away to the music of Glen Miller!
Mother led a full and busy life. She loved dancing, traveling, animals and, of course, her family. Sadly, yet nobly, she is survived only by a cousin of her original youth-filled family. That cousin, Joan, and mother spent many, many years talking and sharing dreams, shenanigans, and good times through their life's journey; all of their 94 years!
I think the most memorable employment our mother had was being our dad's co-driver at a local trucking company, where they drove cross country delivering trout. She loved the culture and the fall colors, especially in Pennsylvania and talked about it often. Many memories made together of Thanksgivings, Christmases, birthdays, ball games, dance recitals, rodeos, and fairs; we will cherish them all.
She loved her family fiercely and welcomed any "bonus" family members too! Mother is survived by her son, David (Lois) Warnock; daughter, Roy (Ed) Ahrens; grandchildren, Christy, Morgan (Terry), and Miranda (Tom); bonus grandchildren, Stacey (Jeffrey), Lisa (John), and Desi; great grandchildren, Anthony, Brianna, Keegan, and Kaelee; and bonus great grandchildren, Joshua, Erik, Josef, Jacob, Natalie, Connor, Kody and Kenadee.
Those awaiting her over the threshold are our father, Robert “Bob” Warnock; three sons, Gary, Ronald, and Richard; parents, LaVerne and Leota Ormsbee; two sisters, Wynema and Gwendolyn; brother, Billy; grandson, Wes; and many, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
This brings this era for our family to a close. Cherish your elders and write down their stories and lineage. It's what they would want.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 11, 2022 at West End Cemetery, 1574 E 4150 N, Buhl. The family requests no flowers.
The family asks if you are attending to bring a single rose to place on the casket.
Special thank you to the Visions Hospice team who lovingly and compassionately cared for our mother: Staci, Adina, Alyssa, Aliee, Joel, Keillie, Melissa, Natalie, and Joni.
Gods' Speed Mother-See you on the flip side!
