Josephine C. Zamora (Josie), 93, of Buhl, Idaho, passed away peacefully at her home December 14, 2013.
Josie was born December 20, 1919, in Los Angeles, Calif. to Fred Marino and Deleto Gracomo (also known as Congetta Di Giacmio). Both parents were born in Naples, Italy. Josie grew up and attended school in Los Angeles. She met Joe Zamora, her husband of 55 years when she was 5 years old. He was living down the block from her home. Joe and Josie were married August 10th, 1941. They had three children Ronald Joseph, Marie Joanne and John Joseph.
Josie enjoyed life. She always had a joke, a smile and a laugh for everyone. Together with Joe, they bowled, played golf, and traveled. They had a large group of friends and traveled to Mexico, Hawaii, Europe, Holland, Norway, Sweden, Italy and Germany.
Josie is survived by her son, John (Linda) Zamora; daughter Marie (David) Brush; seven grandchildren; Brian (Annie) Zamora, Brad (Angie) Zamora, Cara (Kris) Riggs, Jeff (Donna) Young, John (Elba) Young, Ronnie (Lori) Young and Jeanette (Bob) Boulware; Twenty-One great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and her brother-in-law Jess (Johanna) Zamora.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; her parents, Fred and Congetta; her son, Ronald; her sisters, Carmel and Phyllis; her brothers, John, Sammy and Chito.
Josie moved to Idaho in 2011, and lived with Marie and David. There she was introduced to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as she attended church and Bible studies with Marie and David at Calvary Chapel Buhl. When she took ill she began to look forward to her new life in Heaven. She said she was anxious to be in His presence and healed.

A funeral service will be held at Farmer Funeral Chapel, 130 Ninth Ave. No., Buhl, Idaho 83316 on December 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jackie Roberts officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Visions Inc., 1770 Park View Drive, Twin Falls, ID 83301-3252 or a charity of your choice.
