Joyce Taylor

Joyce Carson Taylor, 96, of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away in her home on June 25, 2018 with her son by her side.

On April 2, 1922 Joyce Violet Carson was born to Fred and Alice Carson. Joyce graduated from Buhl High School in 1940 and continued her education, graduating from Albion State Normal School and from Idaho State University. Joyce enjoyed many years of teaching elementary school children in the Buhl and Kimberly areas for fifteen years.

Joyce married her high school sweetheart, Billy Taylor on June 4, 1944 and from that union they were blessed with two sons: Ralph Carson Taylor (Becky) in 1945 and Walter Lee Taylor in 1948. She was again blessed with four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. A great-grandson was sadly killed while serving our country in Afghanistan. Joyce loved her family very much.

After retirement, Billy and Joyce moved from the farm house in Filer to the Carson home in Twin Falls and she continued living there after Billy’s passing in 1992.

A funeral service will be held for Joyce at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl. A time for viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 prior to the funeral. A short graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2018 at the West End Cemetery in Buhl.
