Juanita Ehresman

February 24, 1940 — December 4, 2023

TWIN FALLS

Juanita Ehresman, at the age of 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2023 in Twin Falls, Idaho. Juanita was born February 24, 1940, in Progresso, Texas, the 4th of 12 children to Domingo Gonzalez and Maria Encarnacion.

In 1952 Juanita moved from Texas to the Fresno, California area with her family. Juanita had to learn English with the help of her brothers when she started University Colony School. She attended Yosemite Middle School, and in 1959 graduated from Roosevelt High School. After high school she went to beauty school at Ponce’s Beauty College while working at Cooper’s Department Store. In 1963, Juanita moved to Idaho where she met the love of her life, Conrad Ehresman. After many days at her door step, Juanita fell in love and the rest is history. On November 30, 1963, she married Conrad Lee Ehresman in Twin Falls, Idaho. They became parents in 1966 with the birth of their daughter Cheryl, and then again in 1971 with the birth of their son Mark.

Juanita retired after working as a stylist at Juan’s for over 30 years. In retirement, her and Conrad would travel the western United States and spend time with her grandchildren, Kylie and Cassidy. Her family was the greatest joy of her life, and her favorite pastime was laughing and enjoying the company of her family. She spent the most of her quality family time camping, boating, fishing, and for a short time hunting. Juanita was too tender hearted to hurt animals. She loved to read, listen to music, crochet, play racquetball, cook, and serving others. Juanita’s life-long commitment to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was evident to anyone who knew her. She loved to share her testimony of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and her gratitude for the Atonement and Resurrection of the Savior.  She served in Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society.

In their retirement they traveled all over the western states. She was an avid reader, and loved her Harlequins, she especially loved reading the Book of Mormon. Music also played a huge part in her life, listening to Spanish music, and spiritual music was always a great comfort.

Juanita was beloved by anyone she knew, she had an infectious laugh and a smile that was as huge as her heart. She will be missed by many friends and especially her family.

Juanita was preceded in death by her one true love, Conrad Ehresman; her parents, and brother, Vincent. Juanita is survived by her loving children, Cheryl Cox of Fresno, California; and Mark (Michelle) of Idaho; seven beautiful grandchildren, Kylie Cox of Kissimmee, Florida; Cassidy Cox of Sacramento, California; Thomas Ehresman of Twin Falls, Idaho; Tiffany and Josh (Kasey) of Twin Falls, Idaho; Taylor Pawson of San Antonio, Texas; and Alexis Jones (Gabe) of Tacoma, Washington; great grandson, Michael Dax Cox-Edwards; siblings, Max Gonalez (Francis), Don Gonzalez (Virginia), Nora Gonzalez, Ana Carrillo (Celso), Mary Lujan (Richard), Oralia Saldate, Carlos Gonzalez, and Jessie Gonzalez.
