Julie Isabel Martinez left this world suddenly and too early on May 22, 2022 at just 20 years old. Julie is, and always will be, our mom, sister, daughter, and friend. Simply put, it just wasn’t time for Julie to go…
Julie was born in San Bernadino, California on July 3, 2001. Her family moved to Buhl, Idaho shortly after and has called our little town home ever since. Julie leaves behind her beautiful, smart, and spirited 4-year-old daughter, Ariana.
When family and friends were asked to describe Julie, almost all of them said the same things… Julie loved and lived life to the fullest. She was friendly, LOYAL, and kind. She loved everyone around her with all of her heart and was the first to give out hugs. She was free spirited, outgoing, and often too hard on herself. Julie never let the hard times in life get the best of her. She was always there to give words of advice or just blast the music and be there for the people that needed her. Julie was determined and a hard worker, she never gave up! Even after she had her baby at 16, she went back to school at Magic Valley Alternative High School. Julie learned how to be a mom young, stepping in and raising her sister when she was just a little girl herself. She was a natural caregiver, raising Leslie since elementary school, and later taking care of the elderly in assisted living. She was a crazy driver, hilarious and goofy, always making people laugh… And above everything else, she was an amazing mama to Ariana. That little girl was her #1.
Julie loved to be pretty, and she didn’t have to work hard at it! She was naturally beautiful, on the inside and out! Julie had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. If you ever needed anything, Julie was right there, ready to jump in and help. Sometimes she would just show up out of nowhere because she knew you needed her, without being asked. Julie was thoughtful and generous and we will ALL miss her beautiful face and gigantic, generous heart. There will always be an empty place in the lives of the family and friends that loved her the most.
Julie is survived by her father, Humberto Martinez; daughter, Ariana Martinez; sister, Leslie Cassandra Martinez; brother, Humberto Martinez Jr. (Valerie) and niece, Armani; sister, Jasmine Martinez; and mother, Erica Galvan. She is also survived by her sister and best friend, Camryn Stuhlberg; her “mom”, Cindy Bell; paternal grandmother, Maria Martinez; and maternal grandmother, Maria Torres; and more cousins and friends than there are stars in the sky. Everywhere Julie went, there was somebody that knew her and called her their friend. Her powerful presence on Earth will be missed.

You never said I’m leaving, you never said goodbye.
You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.
So many times we needed you, so many times we cried.
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.
In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still.
In our hearts, you’ll hold a place, no one could ever fill.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone.
For part of us went with you, the day God took you home.
