Katherine Rebecca (McKinley) Lively

Katherine Rebecca (McKinley) Lively was born on Christmas day in 1918 to Emma (Blass) and Clinton Duncan McKinley in Filer, Idaho. She was the oldest of three children. She met and married Russell H. Lively Sr. in 1935. To this marriage came five children: Geraldine (Estey), Nelda (Atkinson), Clinton Roy Lively, Gerald W. Lively, and Russell H. Lively Jr.

After raising her children, Mom worked in a drugstore as a clerk until the love of her life, Russell, became ill. After Russell passed away in 1977, she became involved with the Buhl Senior Citizen's Center and her church, the Buhl First Christian Church.

Katherine loved to take trips with the Buhl Seniors and also loved to go to the "dances" every weekend at the Center. She had remained active and enjoyed her friends until an automobile accident, which had kept her under the care of Bridgeview Estates, where she found many friends and loving care.

Katherine suffered a stroke in early December of 2013 and died from the complications of such on December 9th, 2013

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Gertrude; her brother, John Dee; in addition to three of her children: Geraldine, Nelda, and Roy.

She is survived by two sons; Russ Lively of Twin Falls and Gerald W. Lively of San Diego in addition to many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A Grave Side service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Buhl West End Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Farmer Funeral Chapel of Buhl Idaho.
