Laura Gelene Maritt

Laura Gelene Maritt passed peacefully in her sleep on October 19, 2023, with her husband John Maritt by her side. Some people knew her by Aunt Wing, JoJo, or Saucey.

Gelene was born September 10, 1953, in Twin Falls, Idaho, and moved to Santa Monica, California.  During grade school, Gelene met her first husband Ralph Neimeyer whom she married in 1974. They had two sons together, Levon Neimeyer and Travis Neimeyer. Gelene then met her second husband in the late 80’s, Clint Mills. Clint and Gelene also had two sons, Skyler Mills and Brody Mills. Later, she rekindled with her high school sweetheart, John Maritt, and the two were married in 2001.

Gelene is survived by her husband, John Maritt; sons, Travis and Levon Neimeyer, Skyler and Brody Mills; 5 grandchildren, Sarah, Brianna, Alex, and Dylan Neimeyer and Laleiah Mills; and 6 great-grandchildren, Evan, Ivan, Ariat, Keziah, Paxton, and Irael Neimeyer.

She will be dearly missed.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, November 3, 2023, at Farmer Funeral Chapel, 130 9^th Ave N, Buhl, with a potluck reception to follow at the Neimeyer residence, 2436 E 3870 N, Filer. Please bring a dish to share.
