Laverne LeRoy Bernier

Laverne LeRoy Bernier was called home June 25, 2024. He was born January 6, 1947 to Joseph Leo Bernier and Opal Edith Brewer Bernier. 

Laverne was loved by many family members and friends. He lived an adventurous life, first traveling the world with the military, and ending with many vacations around the states after retirement. He lived his life to its fullest, following his own special dreams. He will be missed, but never, ever forgotten.

Laverne was preceded in death by his son, Don Earl Bernier; father, Joseph Leo Bernier; mother, Opal Edith Brewer Bernier; brothers, Lewis William Bernier and Melvin Earl Bernier; sister, Shirley Jean Bernier Helms; father-in-law, Ward J Miller; and mother-in-law, Katherine Nadine Deisley Miller.

He left behind on this earth his wife, Marjorie LaRay Miller Bernier; daughter, Christina Jo Bernier Wilson; three grandchildren, Ariana Jo Wilson, Peyton Gregory Wilson, and Paige Elizabeth Wilson; and sister, Kathleen Marie Bernier Deitrick.

The family would like to thank the Buhl Fire Department and EMT’s, St. Luke’s Home Hospice, and the Buhl City Police Department. A special thank you to three special people who helped care for Laverne and his family and was always there for us, Audrey Lenore Miller Pawson, Colleen Annette Miller Babb, and Thomas Babb III.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, with a viewing beginning at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Farmer Funeral Chapel, 130 9th Ave North, Buhl.
