Marteal Watson

September 11, 1921 — February 24, 2014

Marteal, 92, of Buhl, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014, at Alpine Manor Assisted Living in Twin Falls.
Teal was born September 11, 1921, in Blackfoot, ID, the oldest child of Irving and Goldie Anderson. She married Wendell Watson on June 21, 1939, in the Logan Temple.
She will be remembered for her love of learning, dedication to the church, and devotion to her family and friends.. She cooked wonderful meals, gardened and kept an immaculate house.
She had numerous callings in the LDS Church, primarily as a teacher. She was eager to teach and learn. She lovingly passed on that appreciation of reading and learning to her daughter.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, JoAnne and Rick Gooding of Surprise, AZ; her grand-daughter Rachel Andersen (Kes) of Las Vegas, NV; three great- grandsons, Rick, Blake and Gunnar Watson Andersen. She is also survived by one brother Darrell M. Anderson (JoAnn) of Ashton, ID.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wendell, a daughter Jean and a son Wendell Carole Watson; two brothers and a sister.
A small service will be held at Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 27th. A viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m., preceding the service in the Farmer Chapel. We would like to thank Elaine and her staff at Alpine Manor for taking such good care of Teal during these past years.
