Mary Cordelia Ballou, passed away at the age of 100, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born on August 14, 1921 in Buhl, Idaho, to Horatio and Ophelia Cox.
She graduated high school and went on to become a RN in 1942. On October 12, 1943 Mary married her husband, Robert Warren Ballou and together they had five children. She took a correspondence course at ASU and became and accredited records technician in 1977.
During the war she served as a nurse and would also go on to nurse in Twin Falls County Hospital as well as UMC in Las Vegas, Nevada. She also worked at Motorola for some time. Mary loved to travel and see new places and things, but while she was home, she enjoyed gardening.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; all her siblings; husband, Robert Warren Ballou; son, Robert Warren Ballou II; grandsons, Derrick Frazier, and Billy Lee.
She is survived by her daughters, Clydean O’Conner, and Pamela Chrys (Van) Frazier; sons, Gordon Hoyt (Debi) Ballou, and Douglas Cort Ballou; numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2022 at West End Cemetery, 1574 East 4150 North, Buhl, Idaho.
