Mary "Kathy" Fenton - Wells - Berge - Castleford

On October 5, 2012 our Mom, Kathy, passed away peacefully at home, after struggling the disease Pulmonary Hypertension. She had loved ones by her side.

Mom was born on Jan. 29, 1946 in Nampa, Id. To Fred and Mary Miyoshi. She was the oldest of three children. Later, Grandma Mary married Allen Records. They had two children together making Kathy the oldest of five.

She grew up in the Nampa/Caldwell area and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1964. While living in Caldwell she worked at her parents A&W Rootbeer stand. After graduating from high school she went to beauty college and then worked for Sharon Williams at her salon. She worked again with Sharon as an instructor at Superior Western Beauty College in Boise.

Mom married Jerry Gillette. They divorced and she then married Junior Fenton. He got a package deal and Kathy's daughter Brandy was part of the package. While married to Junior Kathy learned many different ways of making a living. She and Junior were long haul truckers, they built fence for the BLM outside of Jackpot. She also learned how to do some farming and ranching.

They moved to the Castleford area in 1990 and Kathy worked on a couple different dairies. She was a milker and she worked feeding cows and calves. She also worked for Rangen's in Buhl.

After 20 plus years together Kathy and Junior divorced. She married Walter Wells and while married to Walt she helped him with his ranch something that she really enjoyed. Walt passed away. She married her present husband Frank Berge.

Mom wasn't much of a talker but when she had something to say her words had significant meaning. She had a great love for animals especially her horses.

Mom you are a great mother and grandmother and you are going to be missed so much, you are not suffering any more and we are happy to let you go and rest in peace.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Records; father, Fred Miyoshi; brother, Paul Miyoshi and husband, Walter Wells.

She is survived by husband, Frank Berge; father, Allen Records of Castleford; daughters, Brandy (Greg) Mason of Castleford, Becki Jo Smith of Washington, Carrie Jo Healea of Indiana; step-son, Randy (Gladys) Berge of Washington; step-daughters, Bink (Bryce) Hatch of Twin Falls, Christy (Greg) Custard of Twin Falls; grandchildren, Zacherie and Courtnie Mason of Castleford, Zack Rey of Washington; brothers, Bert, Curtiss and Kenny Records she is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins.

A funeral service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Castleford. A viewing will be from 1 - 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service on Wednesday. Arrangements are under the direction of Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl.
