Melvin "Didi" Sylvester Dennis, born on January 15, 1964, in Seattle, Washington, passed away on November 25, 2024, in Buhl, Idaho. He was a cherished son, brother, beloved uncle and friend whose warm spirit and interests left a lasting impact on those who knew him.
Didi graduated from Buhl High School, where he laid the foundation for his diverse career. He found fulfillment working at Stardust Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, where his charisma and dedication shone brightly. He then worked at Milky Way in Jerome, Idaho, and later at Lamb Weston in Twin Falls, Idaho.
An enthusiastic cat lover, Didi was known for being a go-to buddy for political discussions, always keenly aware of current events. His friends and family appreciated his insight and passion on various topics. Among his many hobbies, he enjoyed golfing, and he was a loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Didi’s nephews remember indulging in online gaming as well as watching movies and TV shows Didi recommended. They said it was great working with him, and he was a blast to be around. He also started writing a science-fiction book in his spare time.
Didi created unforgettable memories on trips, particularly his enjoyable visit to Waikiki for a close friend’s wedding. Staying at the Royal Hawaiian was a highlight for him, and he often encouraged others to experience the beauty of that place. His genuine happiness during that trip was a testament to the joy he found in life's moments.

He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Dennis, sisters, Kathy Felix, Elsie Dennis-Dofelmier (Jim) and Edith Hurley (Chris); brothers, George W. Dennis III and Sidney F. Dennis (J.R.) and several nephews and nieces.
Didi was preceded in death by his father, George W. Dennis Jr., and his brother, Ronald C. Felix.
Melvin "Didi" Sylvester Dennis will be remembered for his loving nature, engaging personality, and the joy he brought into the lives of many. May his memory live on in the hearts of those he touched.
