Michael Shawn Thompson

Michael Shawn Thompson passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 26, 2020 after battling with end stage kidney disease.

Michael was born on September 3, 1972 in Bremerton, Washington to David L. Thompson (deceased) and Ann D Bauer Thompson Pyle (divorced). Michael grew up in Washington, Ohio, and Montana, where he played football for the Havre Blue Ponies. He was active in the Army National Guard and the Reserve of the Army. He graduated from Havre High School in 1990. Michael’s favorite job was working on the grill and doing maintenance work for McDonald’s.

Michael loved watching football, especially when the Denver Bronco’s were playing. Michael would spend hours researching the player’s stats or watching their preseason training footage. He collected dragons, swords, and Denver Bronco’s memorabilia.

Michael is preceded in death by his father, David L. Thompson; grandparents, Cyril C. and Agnes M. Bauer of Holgate, Ohio; uncle, Chester C. Bauer; of Defiance, Ohio; and aunt, Donna M. Schlautman of Dayton, Ohio.

Michael will be remembered by his loving family, Danny L. and Ann D. Pyle of Buhl, Idaho; sisters, Tamara Aarnes of Spokane, Washington, Deborah Walsh of Yelm, Washington, and Jennifer Gainey of Tenino, Washington; brothers, Dean Pyle of Spokane, Washington, and Rick Torino of Spokane, Washington.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held 1:00 pm, Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 604 Sawtooth Ave. Buhl, Idaho 83316.
