Mildred "Millie" Lucille Novak
Millie, 83, of Buhl, passed away June 18, 2013 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Millie was born July 4, 1929 to Olen and Willie Brixey in Willow Springs, Missouri. Around the age of 16, she ran away to Idaho.
She married Martin Novak on July 12, 1950, they were married for sixty-two years. They settled West of Buhl where they spent the last 49 years together. Together they had five children.
She worked at various jobs throughout her life including: Simplot, Weaver's, Pillsbury and Seneca. She also helped her husband farm and milk cows.
Millie had numerous talents, artist, cook, community icon and she was quite the "Gypo" when it came to livestock trading. Her greatest talent was wife, mother, grandma and a teacher to all. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Judy Schoorl; one grandson; three brothers; one sister.
She is survived by her husband Martin; daughters, Joyce Freeman, Justine (Lonnie) Wright, Janice Carter (John Peterson); son, John Novak; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that she loved deeply.
Mom will be greatly missed, but memories will be in our hearts forever.
Funeral services will be held, 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the Buhl First Christian Church. A viewing will be Monday, June 24 from 5 - 7p.m. at Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl. Interment will be at the West End Cemetery. A meal will be provided for friends and family at the Christian Church following services.
