Myrna Raines

Myrna Lee Raines of San Leandro, CA, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on September 26, 2012.

Myrna was born in Buhl, ID, on October 3, 1937. She is survived by her children Donna Raines, Kenny Raines (Cathe), and Melinda Troiano (Mike). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and her sisters Challis Hill, Beverly Spatz (Fred), Delores Sybrant (Frank), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Myrna was preceded in death by her Grandparents Henry and Lena Norris, her Parents Sid and Dorothy Turner, and her siblings Sidney Jr., Jackie and Jill, Husband Kenneth Raines, Great-Granddaughter Sabrina Goldberg, and long-time friend Bill Falin.

Myrna graduated from Alameda High School in February 1955 and worked for The Veterans Medical Center for 38 years. She was a past Regent and current member of the Ohlone Chapter DAR and active in the Masonic Lodge. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, family history, and studying genealogy.

Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services 2 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl. A viewing will be 1 - 2 p.m. prior to the funeral at the funeral chapel. Interment to follow services at the West End Cemetery in Buhl.
