Nathan Scott Puschel, 45, of Buhl, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, from a sudden illness.
Nathan was born June 16, 1979, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Dennis and Terri Puschel. He attended school in Castleford, and graduated in 1998. Nathan received an associate degree with a welding certificate from the College of Southern Idaho right after high school. He would also go on to attend Northwest Lineman College as well as receive a second associate degree from CSI with a certificate from the HVAC program.
Nathan married Whitney Metsker in 2009 and they welcomed two girls, Darby and Dharsi. Nathan loved being a dad and was very proud of his girls, and he never missed an opportunity to be at their school and sporting events. He was especially excited to share his love of hunting with them and was very proud when Darby got her deer and was looking forward to hunting with Dharsi this year.
Nathan was a hard worker and never let hard times hold him back. He had a passion for farming and was always there to help on the family farm when needed. Nathan loved animals and had a passion for raising chickens and other birds, which he sometimes shared with the neighbors, as well as goats and cattle. He had a soft spot in his heart for his dogs and was excited to raise puppies this next year. Nathan had a dream of living in Alaska and loved the time he and Whitney got to spend there.
Nathan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Puschel; his grandparents, Jess and LaVonne Inchausti; his uncle Mike and aunt Barbara Inchausti; his father-in-law Monte Metsker; and his best dog Sam.
Nathan is survived by his wife of 15 years, Whitney; two daughters, Darby and Dharsi; grandmother, Arline Puschel; father and mother, Dennis and Terri Puschel; sister, Lori (Cody) Cantrell; and brother, Austin (Rachel) Puschel. He also had 14 nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
