Ricky Brown

Ricky Dean Brown of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the age of 69. Ricky was born in Pendleton, Oregon and grew up in Glendora, California where he met his wife and the love of his life, Connie Brown, for the first time at age five.

He sang in the Charter Oak High School A Cappella Choir and graduated from Charter Oak High in 1970. After high school, he reveled in his stint of playing minor league baseball with the Pittsburgh Pirates farm team. Ricky and Connie were married briefly in 1975 and then, after a 43-year break, life brought them together again. They wed for a second time in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 2, 2018 and spent the last few years making up for lost time.

Ricky retired from Scott Jackson Trucking after almost three decades of loyal service. Ricky was a very kind and gentle man and a trusted advisor for many. His unwavering moral compass led his way and his life. He was a source for love and compassion for all who crossed his path.

Ricky loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, hunting, watching sports of any kind, gambling/keno. He also enjoyed a medium rare rib-eye and a good lasagna. Most of all, he loved to consume an entire chocolate pie and refused to share it.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, James “Jim” Dean Brown and Vera Arlene Ferguson Brown. He is survived by his wife, Connie Todd Brown; children, Dave (Lindsey) Brown, Chelsea Todd, Amber (Chadd) Brown Kasimatis; Mariah (Danny) Brown Boyd, Zachary McFarlin and Christina Brown McFarlin; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Farmer Funeral Chapel, 130 9th Ave North, Buhl.
