Ronald Edwin Armand Dumas, lovingly known as Ron, peacefully passed away June 22 2024, in Buhl, Idaho. He was born November 19 1934, in Jakarta Indonesia. Ron led a remarkable life filled with diverse experiences that shaped him into the cherished individual he was.
Throughout his career, Ron served diligently in the HVAC division for the Royal Netherlands Army Post in Utrecht, and later excelled in sheet metal work within the United States. His dedication and commitment to his work were truly admirable, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Ron had a passion for education and attended Lower Technical School to further his knowledge and skills. His thirst for learning was evident in all aspects of his life.
Renowned for his infectious love of laughter and mischievous spirit, Ron brightened the lives of those around him with his playful pranks. He took great pride in his appearance, always presenting himself with impeccable style.
Apart from his career and personality traits, Ron found joy in various hobbies and interests such as travelling, sailing, fishing, gardening, and photography. These pursuits brought him immense happiness and allowed him to create numerous cherished memories.
Ron's memory will be eternally treasured by his surviving family members including his beloved wife, Yvonne Dumas; devoted daughters, Elizabeth Maxwell and Joyce Christensen; dedicated son, Roger Dumas; as well as his brother Arnold Dumas. In their time of grief, may they find solace in the profound impact Ron had on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters; and two brothers.
In honoring Ron's legacy, let us remember him for the love he had for his family and the joy he brought to all who were blessed to have crossed paths with this remarkable individual. May he rest in peace knowing that he was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.
A private burial for the family will be held. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in a Celebration of Life with further details to come.
