Ronald Charlie Felix, 72, passed away July 29, 2022 in Idaho Falls, Idaho surrounded by his loving family. Ron was born in Enderby, British Columbia, Canada to Frederick Isaac Charlie and Marjorie Dennis.
As a young child, Ron moved from Canada to Redmond, Washington to live with his mother and stepfather on a small farm. Ron is the eldest child of eight siblings (five sisters and three brothers). He graduated from Redmond High School. He worked at a cement plant in Redmond and was proud of the construction projects that he had been a part of in the Seattle area.
With the number of siblings, he would help out with buying clothes for the younger ones, picking the kids up from school, taking them to church as well as taking them for rides. Ron met and married Deborah Gates and along with his stepson, Jose, they welcomed a daughter, Felicia, into the family. Ron and his family moved to Buhl, Idaho to be close to the extended family.
He worked at Green Giant before returning to live in the Seattle area. Many years later, he returned to live in Buhl.
Ron loved his coffee and always had a cup in his hand. He also enjoyed listening to Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Hendricks, CCR among many other groups. He also liked working on cars and owned many different vehicles. However, his passion was Native American arts. He loved to draw, but his greatest joy was carving totem poles. Ron shared his amazing arts with those closest to him. He loved to spend time with family members and would call most by nicknames that he lovingly gave them. He will be greatly missed for his laughter, and his caring and giving nature that he had about himself.
Ron is survived by his mother, Marjorie Dennis; his siblings, Kathy Felix, Elsie Dennis (Jim) Dofelmier, George W. Dennis III, Melvin Dennis, Sidney Dennis “JR”, and Edith (Chris) Hurley; his daughter, Felicia (Josh); stepson, Jose Millante; and his grandchildren, Chandler and Shannon.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Isaac Charlie; stepmom, Marsha Charlie; stepfather, George W. Dennis, Jr.; sisters, Geraldine Charlie and Veronica Charlie; nephews, Sweet Maurice Sterling and James Dofelmeir, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 12, 2023, at Farmer Funeral Chapel, 130 9th Ave. N., Buhl, Idaho. A graveside service will follow at West End Cemetery.
