Rosie Sligar

Rosie Irene Knopp Sligar, 74, of Buhl, passed away July 19, 2014 at River Ridge Care Center in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Rosie was born April 17, 1940 in Burley, Idaho to George and Katie Weimer Knopp. She attended schools in Burley and Buhl. She graduated from Buhl High School in 1958. Rosie was employed at Sattgast's Hardware Store and spent many years working at Sav-Mor Drug in Buhl until her retirement. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Rosie married Rod Sligar in 1962, they were later divorced.

Rosie is survived by two children, Brian L. (Christi Thornsberry) Sligar of Boise, Sheila (Jose Chavez) Sligar of Buhl; six grandsons; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Knopp and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Knopp and great-nephew Lance Knopp.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, July 26, 2014 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Kirk and Brenda Thompson residence (600N. 3623E.) Castleford. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl.
