Thomas David La France
"Tommy" ran into the arms of his father! No more suffering, no more struggles. The long road ahead of him is now complete. He was only 21.
In the short time he was with us on this earth, his life experiences were more than most could handle. Losing his father at the age of 11 was traumatic and he never fully got over that loss. Life was filled with many struggles but Tommy always survived. He was out to conquer the world.
On July 21, 2012, while diving at Falls Hole, he broke his neck in a diving accident, which paralyzed him. He was extremely grateful to his friends, whom he considered his brothers, being there for him and saving his life. Tommy had many friends, but few he considered brothers. They were there for him as he would have been there for them.
Tommy was born March 22, 1991, in Merced, California and he lived the first half of his life in Atwater, California. In 2007, Tom and his mother relocated to Buhl, Idaho. Those who knew him in Idaho knew him as "Bubba."
Tommy always said what was on his mind. He was very straight forward, honest, and a loyal friend, always willing to give you the shirt off his back. Just a big Teddy Bear with a huge heart is how some will remember him.
He loved to fish, hunt, swim, and play video games. He was a huge football fan - Raider Nation, All The Way Baby!!!
He was taken from us way too young and will forever be in the hearts of all who knew him and loved him.
He is survived by his loving mother, Tracy La France of Buhl, Idaho, his brother and sister-in-law, George and Tonya La France, his grandparents, David and Peggy Smith of Atwater, California, and several other family members living in California.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Keith La France, grandparents, George and Joyce La France, and an aunt, Christine Ramirez.
A Memorial Service/ Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 7, 2012 at Eastman Park in Buhl. A potluck BBQ style meal will be held for those that wish to attend immediately following the service.
Arrangements under the direction of Farmer Funeral Chapel.
