Vaun Clements

Vaun Mark Clements, 88 - Loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away at his home September 14, 2014 of natural causes.
Vaun was born March 4, 1926, the son of Cecil and Irene Clements, in Hibbard, Idaho, the tenth of 12 children. He loved farming and working with horses. He attended school in Hibbard and Rexburg, Idaho. He loved his country, enlisting in the army at the end of World War II.
Vaun served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Central States Mission. He was married and sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple to Mary Maurine Stewart in 1952. They were blessed with 9 children in Rexburg, Idaho. He farmed in Hibbard and served on the Madison School Board. In 1976, he moved with his family to Buhl, Idaho. He had a farm implement business, worked at the forest service, and the cemetery. In 2001, Vaun and Maurine served a family history mission in Salt Lake City for two and a half years.
He loved music, reading, camping, playing games with his family, family history work, telling stories, and serving diligently in the church. Vaun was an amazing example of his testimony of Jesus Christ through hard work, service, and love of fellow man.
Vaun was preceded in death by his parents, eight of his siblings, and a daughter Marie. He is survived by three sisters Bertha Fullmer, Irma Hill, Venese Bowen; his wife, Maurine Stewart Clements; and eight children Sue Baird (Clay), Brenda Reynolds (Mike), Connie Clements, Val Clements (Joy), Mark Clements, Jan Clements (Tammy), Brent Clements (Megan), and Deanne Kemeny (Andre). Vaun was the proud grandfather of 45 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren as well.
A viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday night, September 18, at the Farmer Funeral Chapel, 130 Ninth Avenue North in Buhl, Idaho. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 19, 2014, at the LDS chapel, 1001 Fair Street, also in Buhl. A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2014, at the Rexburg Cemetery.
