Wallace Colter

Wallace (Wally) Colter passed away on October 8, 2016. Wally was born September 23, 1959 in Gooding, Idaho to Kenneth and Alvina Colter. He graduated from Gooding High School in 1977. On December 7, 1979 Wally married his sweetheart Sally Stroud in Bliss, Idaho. They were blessed with two wonderful children; Dustin Colter and Ashley Colter (Myers). After high school Wally pursued his passion of farming and ranching. He farmed and ranched in Gooding, Idaho for over thirty years. During the last ten years his son, Dustin Colter, had the honor of working with Wally in the building industry. Wally cherished this time they had to get to know each other better. Wally also enjoyed his time spraying weeds for Tri-County Weed. Wally always made himself available to help his friends and neighbors. In his free time, Wally enjoyed camping, hunting, and taking his grandchildren; Preston, Natalie, and Easton Myers fishing. Wally is survived by his wife Sally Colter, his son Dustin (Jessica) Colter, his daughter Ashley (Scott) Myers, grandchildren Preston, Natalie, Easton, his mother Alvina Colter, and siblings Galen Colter, Gene Colter, and Carolyn Casper. Wally is preceded in death by his father Kenneth Colter and his brother Kenny Colter.
A graveside service has been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Elmwood Cemetery in Gooding, Idaho.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be given to the family to aide in funeral expenses.
